It can help business improve productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that staff have the right skills to do the best job.
If your business meets the eligibility criteria, the costs of training and assessment is supported; courses may be paid in part or full for your business. If your company has less than 50 employees, you may be eligible for a contribution to wage costs when releasing employees for training during their normal working hours. Employees must also meet eligibility criteria.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible, your company must:
- have less than 5,000 employees
- have not yet achieved Investor in People recognition and
- have not accessed funded Vocational / Apprenticeship / NVQ training within the last twelve months.
- The employees you wish to be trained must:
- old an employment contract (not volunteers)
- be age 20 or over
- not hold a full Level 2 qualification
- be UK nationals or hold the right of abode in the UK.
